Lewis Koumas has burst onto the scene with Liverpool, netting three goals and providing two assists in his first ten games. He now aims to replicate that form with Wales in the Nations League.
Lewis Koumas, the young Liverpool forward, has made a striking start to the 2026‑27 season, scoring three goals and providing two assists in his first ten Premier League outings, earning full‑time trust from manager Jürgen Klopp.
Impact at Liverpool
Koumas announced himself against Manchester City on 12 August with a spectacular free‑kick goal and intelligent movement in the final third. A week later, against Arsenal, he delivered a decisive pass that set up Mohamed Salah’s strike. Those performances have placed him among the league’s most promising talents.

Preparing for the Nations League
Following his club form, Koumas will join the Wales national team for the European Nations League in September. Wales face Northern Ireland, Albania and Slovakia in Group C. Manager Rob Page believes Koumas can add a new attacking dimension to the side.
Koumas said, "I want to keep delivering my best for both Liverpool and Wales, and I’m excited to show the confidence we’ve built this season."
